Just like traditional fashion trends, hair trends are fairly cyclical, and new styles and cuts will fade in and out of popularity as the seasons change. 2017 is no different, and there are a handful of cuts that look set to be the most popular styles this year – in this post we’ll look at three of them, giving you some inspiration for a new cut for 2017.
- The Bob
Taking inspiration from classic French style, the bob features an ear-length crop and mini bangs, channeling the biggest stars from French fashion and cinema. Not quite wavy but not quite straight, the bob is a decidedly European cut that works particularly well on petite women and narrow faces. It also goes particularly well with stylish rimmed glasses, so grab your Tom Ford or Oliver Peoples glasses and hit the town!
- The Micro
An extremely popular cut among runway models wearing the latest high fashion pieces, the micro look is effortless and striking, although it’s something of a bold choice if you’re used to longer hair. If you do opt for this cut you’ll need to ensure you’ve got plenty of texturizing hair product so you can style it just the way you want to.
- The Mid-Length
A little more traditional and less bold than the previous cuts, this is a good option if you’re not looking for a dramatic change. The mid-length works particularly well with wavy or slightly curved hair, with loose ringlets giving this cut a relaxed and effortless appeal.
